It is extremely important that you do so.

This project and its web site, and the several related web sites that support it, is a labor of love on my part; I am writer Vince De Benedeto. And it is a labor of love for which I pay a high personal price, given that this work continually and regularly siphons off substantial amounts of time, energy, and money, that I really don't have:  given the difficult and lacking personal, familial, and financial circumstances under which I exist, especially at my age, I should be devoting my limited personal resources to the attempt to improve my own lot in life, and that of my family. My life has become especially difficult since I volunteered to become the full-time caregiver to my father, who suffers Alzheimer's disease.

Rather than spend my limited resources working to improve the life and material conditions of me and my family, I spend a fair amount time building this organization, and promoting the idea of a Cooperative society. Trying to do my part to ensure that this most beautiful, logical, and moral idea remains alive. Especially in the unique and powerful way it is manifest in the BOMA dual program.

In fact, this endeavor, BOMA, has almost seen its end--twice. But both times I decided to keep it going. Why? Because our modern world is based on money, the accumulation of profit, and an unrestrained narcissism and ego--and a world based on these values and principles is a world that is harmful to human beings, to us and our families, in the short and long terms. And of the possible responses to this pernicious world, the BOMA program seems unique and powerful, valuable enough to warrant its own continued existence. Even given the personal toll this endeavor takes on me.

The personal toll for my single-mindedness in doing this work is, indeed, painful in myriad ways, and thus do I reach out to my fellows, those who see value in this work, to assist me in it--if not directly, then indirectly through financial support. If you are such an individual, please do your part and make a financial contribution.

Without help, however, I cannot guarantee the continued existence of this organization and its program. Indeed, since undertaking the caregiver role described above, my work on this site and project has slowed considerably. And what does get done is of poorer quality than before.

In this "modern" world of ours, too often cold, cruel, mindless, or all three, if you have found yourself spiritually buoyed, emotionally cheered, intellectually stimulated, had your own personal, intellectual, spiritual, or emotional horizons expanded, or indeed, experienced any other positive sensation through the ideas and material you've discovered at this website (or any of our partner sites), please "do the right thing" and make a financial contribution.

In other words, if you want to see these ideas remain alive, please contribute.

There are, in fact, three sites that exist in support of our Cooperative idea and its program for change:

1. The very extensive One Human Family web site, itself.

   This site actually includes a subsidiary site, DiscussionForum.cc. There is generally no need to access this site directly, as its exists solely as the Internet residence of the BOMA Discussion Forum, which would usually be accessed from our main BOMA site, right here.

2. MESSAGE OF HOPE. A unique political-musical project advocating transition to a Cooperative Society.

Design and maintenance of these sites is costly, in financial and time terms. Whether or not you agree with every word I've written, at this site and the others, if you believe that the world, generally, and the movement for dramatic social change, specifically, is better off that BOMA does exist, rather than does not exist--please lend your financial support to the organization.

Indeed, there is a place for organizations, bodies, and political journals whose stock-in-trade is academic or abstract treatment of the notion of a Cooperative society. However, it is, arguably, the actual political parties and related organizations "on the ground," like BOMA, that are working most concretely to teach and spread revolutionary social change.
